Recently, the acronym ESG has become increasingly common in business circles. What does the acronym actually stand for and how does it affect business relationships? ESG stands for "Environmental, Social, and Governance" and can be understood as an assessment of a company's overall responsibility in terms of social and environmental factors. We can think of it as something like a social score for a company. These three broad categories are used to describe "investors with a social conscience," those who take into account their values and concerns, such as environmental protection, community concerns, or governance.

The conference was held under the auspices of the media house Czech News Center, and the Daily e15, on the grounds of the ČSOB Campus in Prague Radlice which meets the highest environmental standards in accordance with the international LEED Platinum Certification. The beautiful, bright, airy space, full of greenery, hosted speakers in a panel discussion on the topics:

  • The Interconnectedness of ESG Elements
  • Sustainability in the Media Environment
  • Bank Financing in ESG
  • Innovation in Sustainable Behaviour

And we, Jungle Interiors, was also there. Our extraordinary NAAVA purifiers formed the backdrop of the main stage and blew pleasant mountain air on the moderator, Jan Novotny, deputy editor-in-chief of e15. He was there all yesterday morning discussing with representatives of Czechoslovak Group, the Association of Construction Entrepreneurs, Access EU, Czech News Center, CSOB, Association of Sustainable Business, KPMG, CSRD, and Sens Foods. Each of the participants received an original gift of basil seeds glued onto a recyclable key chain.

The acronym ESG is slowly but inevitably becoming part of every investment

Companies around the world are increasingly moving towards social responsibility and sustainability. Today, companies who do not focus on respecting the environment and people will not reflect positively for them.
