A Mediterranean atmosphere in the heart of The Park in Prague's Chodov

Mediterranean design that breathes warmth and relaxation

We brought the atmosphere of the south into the lobby space – a contrast of sun, rich colors, and the natural dynamics of nature. The foundation of the concept is a balanced combination of living and artificial plants, allowing for a rich visual fullness and long-term sustainability of the space.
The result is a harmonious whole that brings vitality, rhythm, and a subtle touch of uniqueness to the reception area.

Aesthetically striking yet functional green solution with 150 plants

The new lobby stands out with a wide range of plant species, sizes, and colors. All of this is complemented by interesting designer furniture seating. The planting is structured to support the natural movement of visitors through the space while highlighting key architectural features.

Individual, free-standing plants:

• Strelitzia – a dominant plant with iconic leaves. Its tropical appearance and majestic leaves create a sense of luxury and exoticism, contributing to a strong visual impact as soon as you enter a space. The strelitzia grows tall and adds dynamism to interiors without taking up much space at lower levels.
• Schefflera – a dynamic, richly branched specimen that complements the composition with its elegant lightness. It tolerates fluctuations in light and temperature well making it an ideal plant for busy spaces. It has a calming effect, and its graceful, rounded shapes and rhythmic leaf structure enhance the harmony of the interior.

Planting in the flowerbeds behind the reception

Carefully designed plant combinations create rich colors and structural layers in the flowerbed planting which pleasantly enliven the space and give it depth. In the flowerbeds we used a brightly coordinated mix of species:

• Croton Iceton – strikingly variegated leaves bring energy and a colorful accent.
• Microsorum – a delicate fern that adds softness and lightness to the composition.
• Philodendron – lush green, broad leaves that provide stable volume and visual support to the entire planting.
• Anthurium crystallinum – large velvet leaves with contrasting white veins which give garden beds a luxurious effect.
• Aglaonema – variable leaf patterns add dynamics and texture to the planting.
• Dracaena Burley – narrow, layered leaves which create vertical rhythm, and a natural structure.

Each of the plants contributes a different character, from striking variegation to the delicate texture of ferns. Together, they create a harmonious composition that feels natural and visually appealing at the same time.

Plants in a Wooden Wall

We placed smaller individual plants into a built-in wooden wall and created a new visually pleasing dimension. Green accents with a silvery effect from the Scindapsus pictus and Microsorum Diversifolium plants serve here as functional decor, connecting the space and adding warmth and natural depth.

Designer Planters, a Contrast That Works

The plants are complemented by carefully chosen planters, which together create a striking yet harmonious visual whole.

• Indigo Vintage Gold – gold-bronze containers that highlight Mediterranean elegance and add a luxurious touch to the space.
• Fiberstone Black – timeless black classic that brings stability and a modern contrast to the warm tones of plants and furniture.

This combination highlights individual specimens while at the same time unifying the overall look of the lobby.
All the plants in “The Park” lobby are regularly cared for to keep them in top condition. From expert watering and precise trimming, to nutrient supplementation, and replacing plants when necessary. Thanks to professional maintenance, the entire green concept remains long-term fresh, healthy, and representative, exactly as a modern and prestigious lobby space deserves.

A representative and functional space with easy maintenance and long-term stability

The project, for which we were selected from an extensive tender process, was carried out according to the architectural design with the aim to improve the atmosphere of the space for both employees and visitors. Thanks to the combination of live and artificial plants, it is possible to maintain high visual quality even in areas with little lighting and changing temperature conditions. The lobby thus remains pleasant, fresh, and representative throughout the year.

The new lobby for “SIS Systémy a.s.” is an example of how modern office design can be combined with natural inspiration to create a unique space that welcomes, relaxes, and represents. The Mediterranean concept, lush greenery, and carefully selected planters together form an environment that enhances the quality of the workday and emphasizes the company's identity.
